Our History

"Family-Owned & Operated" Artasia was begun by Eli and Pauline Rosenblatt in 1992. They started the business with very little investment and lots of persistence, selling at local fairs. Eventually they began to rent space in the malls during the holidays, in addition to working regional festivals.
In 1996 Eli opened our first permanent store in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward. Shortly thereafter I, Craig Stone, helped put the store onto the web. Together we expanded the business until we eventually occupied the entire first floor--around 6,000 sq ft.

"Family-Supported" We've always had the wonderful support of our families. You can find out more about us and our various artworks at RosenblattGallery.com.
In 2005 we--and our families--purchased the Historic Isabella Ryder Building, just 2 doors north of our first location. After two years of renovations and a lot of sweat, we opened at 181 North Broadway Avenue. We now have 14,000 sq ft on two floors, where we also sell bamboo flooring, porcelain sinks, bathtubs, doors and other contractor supplies.
